Community Impact

As a church we have been on the The Northern Illawarra Combined Churches Scripture Board, most commonly known as ‘BWCB’, since its origins in 2007. The board raises funds for scripture teachers to be in Bulli, Woonona & Corrimal High schools. As a church we donate yearly from our local missions funds, Vision Builders campaigns and have representatives on the board. Should you wish to donate or stay up to date with other fundraisers the Scripture Board run each year, the button below will you take you to their website where you can sign up to the newsletter.

Through Vision Builders 2020, we have partnered with Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre (BNC) to help provide much needed resources and items for the community they support. BNC provides a vast array of support to our community, every week they provide breakfast and lunch packs to over 500 families.

We recently donated a large amount of pantry items and $300 worth of basic necessity & hygiene products to the centre through Vision Builders. We are pleased to partner with them and support them in such a practical way.

We are continuing our partnership with them and you can support this project during COVID-19 by delivering any of the following items to the centre directly. A good idea would be to collect items as a connect group over a few weeks, or individually, and then take them to the centre during opening hours.

Perishables:

Sausages, Mince, Chicken, Vegetables (Frozen is best), Fruit (Oranges, apples, Bananas etc), Margarine, Yoghurt, Cheese, Bread

Pantry Items:

Pasta, rice, baked beans, tinned spaghetti, 2-minute noodles, cereal, spreads (Vegemite, jam etc), UHT milk, school snacks (muesli bars, chips, crackers, sultanas)

Household Necessities:

Nappies, baby formula, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, washing powder, dishwashing liquid
